I was just browsing Teachers Pay Teachers and I found something that pairs wonderfully with our district's DMI training! It is a journal printable that not only helps students to solve the problem in many ways but also develops their number sense.

This is a great way to have students expand their thinking. The printable is free and also comes with some practice problems! This would also be helpful for our younger students to use to organize their thoughts before they use the poster method!
